I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Cologne at the Digital Transformation and Value Creation Group.
Prior to that, I completed my Ph.D. at the Munich School of Management, LMU Munich, based at the Institute for Strategy, Technology and Organization (ISTO). I was also involved in the Organizations Research Group (ORG).
My primary research interests are:
- Industrial Organization
- Competitive Strategy
- Applied Microeconomics
I have a particular interest in how firms adapt their strategies to information asymmetries in information technology and online markets. Two of my projects examine this question in the online self-publishing industry.
In terms of methods, I consider myself an Applied Microeconomist. I have broad theoretical and empirical interests that I like to combine in my research projects. I also like to collect my own datasets via web-scraping tools.
